Hi, I am Kala! Your photographer!

My love for photography started in my early years of high school. I quickly became attracted to the art of photography in an elective yearbook class my Sophomore year of High School and have not looked back since.

A little bit more about myself! I am from the Brainerd Lakes Area and love all that the area has to offer. Aside from photography In my free time I enjoy crafting, and spending time with my family. I have been married to my wonderful husband Luther {Luke} since 2015 and we have two beautiful children together. Our son Luther {Lukey} is 7 and and our daughter Remington {Remi} is 5. They like to keep us on our toes! As a Family we enjoy watching Races in the summer and going for family walks down the Paul Bunyan Trail.

Why I do what I do? After having our son I had some Postpartum Depression and Anxiety. I needed a reason to give myself some ME time. I decided to take walks in the woods taking pictures of anything that caught my eye. After people saw my photos on social media I was getting asked to take photos of Families. I said WHY NOT? I quickly realized that getting out of my comfort zone and offering sessions was something I needed to do. Not only for myself but for my family. And lets be real, It was nice to get out of the house and communicate with someone other than an infant! I told myself that if I was going to actually do this thing that I was to offer sessions at a reasonable price so everyone could have the opportunity to get photos to hang on their walls. My photography journey is not over and I cannot wait to see where it takes me. What a blessing to meet all these new people and to be able to capture the love that they have for one another! I truly am honored! Thank you!
